Overhead containment and services grid above a technical space

Capabilities

From feasibility and strategy to operational readiness.

Voltarra connects feasibility, design, procurement, construction and commissioning through one accountable delivery structure. Technical intent is maintained while cost, programme, buildability and operational requirements are tested throughout the project.

  • Engineering drawings laid out for coordination

    01

    Design & Build

Voltarra provides single-point accountability for design, procurement, construction and commissioning. The delivery team is connected from technical briefing through to operational handover, reducing the interfaces where scope, responsibility and design intent are normally lost.

  • Structural steel frame under construction

    02

    Construction Management

We procure and coordinate specialist trade packages under one controlled programme, with clear commercial governance, interface management and site leadership. The model is suited to complex, phased and fast-track work where early package engagement and delivery flexibility are critical.

  • Overhead containment and services grid above a technical space

    03

    M&E Design

We lead coordinated mechanical, electrical and public-health design, bringing in the right specialist engineers for the project and market. Systems are developed against capacity, resilience, compliance, buildability, maintainability, operational constraints and commissioning requirements.

  • Cold aisle between cabinet rows in a data hall

    04

    White Space Fit-Out

We plan and deliver data-hall fit-out including rack layouts, containment, power distribution, cooling, structured cabling, controls and supporting life-safety systems. Work can be delivered within shell-and-core space, new capacity, expansions and live operational environments.

  • Standby generator set in an enclosure

    05

    Critical Infrastructure Upgrades

We deliver power, cooling, resilience, asset-replacement and lifecycle projects around live operational requirements. Isolations, temporary provisions, access, sequencing and commissioning are developed as part of the technical solution rather than left until construction.

  • Engineer inspecting technical equipment during a site walk

    06

    Professional Services

Our professional services include feasibility and strategy studies, technical due diligence, condition and capacity review, cost planning, programme development, procurement strategy and project-delivery advice. The objective is to establish a clear, evidence-based route before major commitments are made.

  • Rooftop plant and heat-rejection equipment

    07

    Facilities Audit

We assess condition, capacity, resilience, maintainability and lifecycle exposure across existing facilities. Findings are converted into prioritised recommendations, project scopes and investment plans rather than remaining as isolated survey observations.

  • External chiller array serving a cooling system

    08

    Testing & Commissioning

We develop testing and commissioning strategy from design, including factory acceptance testing, static and functional checks, system testing, integrated systems testing, load-bank testing, failover, resilience proving and operational handover. By the end of construction, commissioning should confirm performance - not discover the design.

A flexible design model

The right team for the project.

Voltarra leads the design and delivery process, then appoints the architects, engineers and specialist consultants best suited to the project's location, scale, complexity and programme. That gives clients access to local knowledge and best-in-class technical expertise without forcing every project through the same consultant team.

One accountable Voltarra lead. A best-fit team around every brief.

Voltarra leads and controls the design process without relying on a fixed, one-size-fits-all design bench in every market.

For each project, we assemble and appoint the architects, MEP engineers, structural engineers and technical specialists best suited to its scale, complexity, programme, technical requirements and location.

The team works within one Voltarra-led brief, programme, governance and change-control structure. Clients gain the flexibility to access the strongest available expertise for each project while retaining one accountable route through design and delivery.

We coordinate the disciplines, manage interfaces, challenge buildability and bring specialist contractors into the process at the point where their knowledge can still improve the design.

  1. Select

The design and specialist team is selected for the technical challenge, programme and local market.

  2. Lead

Voltarra sets the brief, coordinates the design and maintains responsibility for interfaces, decisions and change control.

  3. Integrate

Construction, supply-chain and commissioning input is introduced early enough to shape the solution before it is locked.

Our specialist areas

Where technical complexity and operational continuity matter most.

Voltarra is engaged where design decisions, live operations, specialist systems and demanding programmes need to be controlled as one connected delivery challenge.

  • Data-centre retrofit & lifecycle upgrades

Feasibility, design and delivery of asset replacements, capacity upgrades and phased interventions within operating facilities.

  • Critical power infrastructure

UPS, generators, switchgear, distribution and resilience upgrades planned around the operational constraints of live environments.

  • Cooling & environmental systems

Cooling architecture, plant replacement, distribution, controls and environmental performance coordinated with electrical and operational requirements.

  • White-space delivery

Rack layouts, containment, power distribution, cooling, cabling and integrated systems for new, expanded and repurposed data halls.

  • Capacity expansion

Extensions, densification and infrastructure modifications that increase capacity while protecting the performance of the existing operation.

  • Commissioning & operational readiness

Testing and commissioning planned from design so that handover confirms performance rather than discovering unresolved dependencies.
